X-Games: A New Level of Excitement

The X Games Aspen 2025 showcased an extraordinary display of athleticism and innovation in winter sports. It was a true (and literal) example of what Double Black means to breaking boundaries and pushing limits. Athletes from around the globe gathered to compete in events such as SuperPipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, Knuckle Huck, and the newly introduced Street Style.

When it comes to breaking the boundaries, one athlete went above and beyond making history. Snowboarder Hiroto Ogiwara landed the first-ever 2340 trick in competition, securing the men's snowboarding Big Air gold medal. This groundbreaking feat involved six and a half full rotations, pushing the boundaries of what was previously thought possible in the sport. Ogiwara's achievement not only earned him the top podium spot but also set a new benchmark for future competitors.

In the women's Slopestyle event, several athletes pushed each other to compete at a level never expected. New Zealand's Zoi Sadowski-Synnott delivered a stellar performance to claim the gold medal. Her run was characterized by technical skill and fluid style, proving why she's one of the top names in women's snowboarding. Japan's Kokomo Murase and Britain's Mia Brookes also showcased impressive runs, earning silver and bronze respectively, and highlighting the rising global talent in the sport.
